What is Walk the Talk?

Monash has six campuses in Australia and two international campuses in Malaysia and South Africa.

Held in Johannesburg, South Africa, 'Walk the talk' is the only walking marathon in Africa and one of the largest walks in the world.

The event consists of a 5km fun walk, an 8km walk, and two officially timed walks - a 15km walk and a 30km walk.

The walks start and finish at Marks Park Sports Club in Emmarentia, Johannesburg. From the club, walkers will wind their way through the leafy suburbs of Emmarentia, Greenside, Parktown, Parkhurst, Parkwood and Parkview.

Walk the Talk supports charity work

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is the official charity benefiting from the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk. The entire entry fee goes to the Walk the Talk organisers -TeamMONASH™ does not receive any of the fee. Discovery is the founder member of the South African arm of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which uses sport to bring about positive social change.
